Pat Toh is a theatre practitioner and educator with over a decade of experience teaching in Singapore schools and a multidisciplinary artistic practice that spans theatre, dance, and the live arts.  As an artist, she situates her practice at the intersection of performance, anatomy, and social inquiry—using the body as both critical and artistic material. She believes that the body is not only a vessel but a powerful site for exploring the compl
eexities of power, labor and survival. 

As an educator, she works with learners across various age groups. She has designed and taught theatre-in-education programmes for diverse age groups, and is highly experienced in curriculum design, lesson planning, and youth engagement. As educator to uncover authenticity and boldness through a strong ensemble choreography. A Shell–NAC Arts Scholarship recipient, Pat holds a BA in Dramatic Arts (Acting) from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (Australia) and an MA in Arts and Education (Research) from the National Institute of Education–Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). Pat’s performance career includes appearances in Eloquence (Manuela Infante, T:Works), 100 Years of Solitude (Danny Yung, Zuni Icosahedron, Hong Kong), Mark (Daniel Kok), and the V.I.S.T.A Lab (T:Works) led by Choy Ka Fai. Her debut work Pretty Things was nominated for Production of the Year, Best Director, and Best Ensemble at the Singapore Life Theatre Awards.

Her works have been commissioned and presented by Substation, Esplanade Theatre Studio’s RAW Series, OH! Open House, M1 Singapore Fringe Festival, Asian Film Archive’s State of Motion, and Dance Nucleus. She has participated in interdisciplinary labs including the Substation Directors’ Lab (Singapore), SEA Choreolab at Rimbun Dahan (Malaysia), and Cinemovement Lab 05 (Zambales). She was previously an artist-in-residence at the Substation and is currently an associate artist with Dance Nucleus. Pat has also received residency support from The Saison Foundation (Japan) and Goethe-Institut Singapore.

Her solo creation Topography of Breath has toured widely to M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival (Singapore), Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Liveworks Festival of Experimental Arts (Australia), CROSS Festival (Italy), International Dance Festival (Korea), HDX Dance Exchange (Hong Kong), Machol Shalem Dance House (Israel), FMK International Dance Festival (Laos), Want to Dance Festival (Taiwan), Macao CDE Springboard (Macau), and Solocoreografico – Solo Dance Festival (Germany and Italy).
