A Violent Play is Pat's auto-ethnographic research in a boxing gym.  

Boxers are their bodies and boxing is a sport in which the body is central.  This project looks at the bodies in fight, the beautiful bodies and the broken bodies. How does one perceive and experience their body in moments of high physical intensity and pain?

is lecture performance has Pat take on multiple roles, as a spectator, a researcher, and a participant to look into the physical, emotion and mental experience of fighting,
